Troy Cassar-Daley tops the nominations for the finalists at the
CMAA Country Music Awards

At the star studded launch, acclaimed singer-songwriter Troy Cassar-Daley opened the show with an acoustic performance of the title track to his latest album ‘I Love This Place’ before blazing his way into the finals of the 38th CMAA Country Music Awards of Australia with an astonishing seven nominations across a wide range of categories.

Cassar-Daley has been nominated for a huge SEVEN Golden Guitar awards; six individual “Golden Guitars” including the big four: Single of the Year, Album of the Year, Male Artist of the Year and APRA Song of the Year. Troy’s song that he wrote and recorded with The McClymonts Ain’t Gonna Change for You has been nominated in the Vocal Collaboration category, Heritage Song of the Year and Video Clip of the Year.

This tops of an amazing year for Troy already taking out the Q Music award for Single of the Year with Big Big Love and the MO award for Male Entertainer of the Year….add this to his nomination in the 2009 ARIA awards Top 20 of this year’s CMC Oz Artist of the Year. for Country album of the year and announced this morning he was selected in the Top 20 of this year’s CMC Oz Artist of the Year.
