Based in Mount Gambier South Australia’s Blue Lake City The Wild Card Band have acquired high recognition throughout most of the country having played at a majority of Australia’s biggest and best Country Music Festivals Where they keep the crowds entertained with they’re dynamic stage performance and spell binding four-part harmony.
The Wild Card Band has produced a number of very successful CD’s on their own label and due to popular demand are looking to record more in the future Using material (from Lee Kernaghan to Slim Dusty to Fargone Beauties) plus a well chosen selection of overseas hits, gives the band a repertoire to suit most tastes in Country Music. Filled with musical light and shade to please the ear the band keeps your fingers drummin’ , your feet tappin’ and the dance floor crowded.
The Wild card Band have been support act to many of Australia’s top country music stars who often ask for them by name including Keith Urban, Troy Cassar-Daley Beccy Cole, Adam Harvey and Carter and Carter just to name a few.
Over the years The Wild Card Band have acquired many awards
Some of them being:
Entertainer of the year and the golden swaggie awards in Tamworth
Best band in both Port Pirie and Barmera S.A
The Frank Harding memorial in Barmera and the frank Caputo memorial in Port pirie
And have twice been finalists in the South Australian music industry awards
Having been together for 15 years The Wild Card Band are still going strong and put the yee har back in to country music.
