When three of Australia’s most versatile musicians/fulltime entertainers step on to a stage together, you have to expect an exciting performance.

Such is the case with RUNAWAY DIXIE featuring VIRGINIA and LYNETTE COAD and JIM HERMEL.

The RUNAWAY DIXIE band officially formed in early 2009 and their first album was released in 2009.

RUNAWAY DIXIE have released four albums, and were nominees in the 2016, 2017, and 2018 GOLDEN GUITAR AWARDS OF AUSTRALIA.   (2016 ‘Bluegrass Recording Of The Year’ with an original ‘Lonesome & Blue’ from their ‘Bayou Queen’ album and in the 2017 ‘Instrumental Of The Year’ with their original instrumental ‘Roundabout’ from their current ‘Poor Man’s Gold’ album and in the 2018 ‘Bluegrass Recording Of The Year’ with an original song ‘Southbound Train’ from their current ‘Poor Man’s Gold’ album.)

The group has also achieved several TSA Songwriting Awards for their original material.

RUNAWAY DIXIE covers a broad spectrum of music from traditional Bluegrass & Gospel, to vibrant Country classics, along with their own original material.

In May 2017, RUNAWAY DIXIE represented Australia at the Mississippi State Bi-Centennial Celebrations as part of the Jimmie Rodgers Festival in Meridian, Mississippi USA.

The combination of Jim’s driving vocals and the girls dynamic vocals and harmonies, along with their multi-instrumental skills make RUNAWAY DIXIE a dynamic “must see” act!
