The Jim Hermel Band

Like many talented recording artists, Jim Hermel’s rise to success was no overnight occurrence.  As lead guitarist with the top Adelaide band, “Nozmo King,” (1967-70) Jim performed at the top Clubs, and Venues, in Adelaide and South Australia, appeared regularly on the Saturday morning teen-age music television shows, and the top night-time variety shows of the day, “Adelaide Tonight,” “The Ernie Sigley Show,” and the popular “Telethons.”

Numerous bands over his career included ‘Big Jim Hermel & The Stone Mountain Band’, ‘Black Cat Bone’, ‘Redbuck’, the ‘Runaway Dixie’ band, and ‘The Jim Hermel Band’.

With multiple recordings behind him from many bands over his long career, JIM HERMEL was inducted into the South Australian Music Hall Of Fame in 2021 in respect of his work in the Australian Music industry over 50 years, touring Australia and internationally.
The JIM HERMEL BAND features JIM HERMEL on lead guitar, LYNETTE COAD on drums, and VIRGINIA HERMEL on bass guitar.

The band delivers goodtime rock ‘n’ roll music that everyone knows and loves to sing and dance along to.  The JIM HERMEL BAND section features a change with VIRGINIA HERMEL taking lead guitar/vocal role and her sister LYNETTE COAD to bass, and JIM HERMEL on drums, with Virginia presenting a range of popular upbeat music.
